What is Geomembrane?

Geomembranes are synthetic liners or barriers that have very low permeability. They are used with any geotechnical engineering material to control the movement of fluids (or gases) in a human-made project, structure, or system. Geomembranes are made from relatively thin, continuous sheets of polymers. They can also be made by impregnating geotextiles with asphalt, elastomers, or polymer sprays, or by using multilayered bitumen geocomposites.
